Position: Refining Digital Plant Lead for Europe, Accenture
Andy is a Chemical Engineer who has spent the last 29 years working in different process industries around the world, using operational data to deliver process performance improvements for clients.
As the available technology has evolved, he has been involved in Control Improvement Projects, implementing Advanced Control and Real Time Optimisation, Equipment Health Monitoring and Human Effectiveness projects.
In his current role as Refining Digital Plant Lead for Europe within Accenture’s IX.0 practice, he is involved in delivering Digital Transformation projects for downstream companies. These projects are not only identifying and implementing the technologies to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness, Safety and refinery margin, but also increasingly focussed on the operating model and how the different ways of working are adopted, scaled and sustained in the era of Industry 4.0.
