Trained at the Press Association in London, Patrick has been an energy sector journalist for over five years. Starting at Cavendish Group media company, he undertook the role of assistant editor on Oil & Gas Technology magazine for two years, as well as assuming the role of editor on its sister publication Renewable Energy Technology for around a year, gaining a close nuts and bolts understanding of each segment within the energy sector. Patrick was brought into Mergermarket in the first half of 2015 to lead its market moving coverage of the energy and natural resource sector across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Co-ordinating with colleagues across the company’s global network of reporters, he has provided major scoops and analysis on the sectors’ largest deals and companies. With an unrivalled network of financiers, industry executives, investors and experts, Patrick’s knowledge and understanding of live and expected M&A trends and transactions is regularly called on to provide insight in Mergermarket’s sister publications across the Acuris Group such as DealReporter, DebtWire and InfraNews.
